I am a graduate student in the UC Santa Cruz Science Communication Program and an intern at The San Jose Mercury News. Previously, I interned at the Monterey Herald and the Stanford Medicine Office of Communication and Public Affairs. In 2016 I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering.

I like macro photography and I enjoy abstract concepts in both photographs and writing. In my free moments, I try to hit the tennis courts. Besides the occassional tennis "game", I stick to running (eh, half-walking). I enjoy just wandering around. I'm drawn to writing about biology, but living on the West Coast has also gotten me chasing sea lions and practicing whale calls.

Where can you find me? Probably somewhere in Central California gaping at lemon trees or watching squirrels.
